Jan. 6
  On our way home from Kansas we stopped at Dothan, Alabama and spent the night with Kristi and Joe Frank in their beautiful new home.  She fixed a nice supper for us.  Hugh Andrew was about 64 months old and Jordan about 2 ½ We arrived home about 3:15 pm Jan 7 the same day Marian Stallworth had her hip operation.  Tome came Jan. 11 to spend the week with his mother.   Jan. 18, Morris and I went to Jacksonville to visit Marian.  It was the last time we saw her alive as she died Jan. 25.
 
Jan. 20-24
   We went camping at Ft. Desoto County park in St. Petersburg and on our way home stopped in Wachula to see Wendall and Jean Turner.  Grandma Mixson went with us and she had a great time.  The weather was great.
 
Jan. 26.
    Tom, Brenda and the boys flew home for Marian’s funeral, which was Jan. 28.  We went to Jacksonville and after the funeral we brought the boys home with us til Sat. when they flew back to Kansas.  
 
Feb. 1
our SS class had a desert party at Libby and Ernie’s house.  Mom went to Carol and Dick’s house for a week.  Feb. 10 mom came to our house for 10 days.
 
Feb. 12-15
   I took care of Zackary, Coral and Katie while Beth and Mark went to Miami for his brother’s wedding.   Sue & Jim stopped by on their way home from the mountains, Feb. 17. Bob came up to see mom.
 
Feb. 22
   Morris & I went camping at Anastasia Part, St. Augustine for six days while we painted & got new carpet put down at the condo.
 
March 10
   Betty, Billy Morris & I rode the bus to Tallahassee for Alachua County Legislature Day.  It was fund.
 
March 15th
   
  We painted the living room, hall, Beth’s bedroom and 3 inside of closets.
 
March 22
   We took mom to Zephyrhills for 3 days to see Bob & Ellie, Marie & Jim, Helen & Fred and Aunt Betty.   March 26 Morris & I went to St. George’s Island to go camping but Morris go sick   So we came home Monday March 29.
 
April 3
   We had a garage sale and made $189.90.  Not Bad!    
 
April 13
   Morris & I went to Anastasia Park in St. Augustine camping.  To our surprise Betty and Billy showed up on Thursday in their new motor home.  Friday about 14 of our SS class met us at the beach for a all day picnic.  We got home Sunday the 18th and found grandma Mixson was in the hospital.  She came home to our house Friday the 23rd.    April 21, Katie went with us to pick strawberries at Rogers Farms.  We made strawberry jam.

  Our SS class met to eat at the Rebel House in Alachua.
 
May 20
   Our SS class (all senior citizens at our church) had an all day picnic at Poe Springs.    
 
May 27 – Jun 1
 
Betty, Billy Morris & I went camping at Anastasia Park in St. Augustine.  Beth and Mark and kids came over and spent one day.  Doug and Louise Turner came over and spend one day and Jim & Mary & kids came one day and spent the night with Betty & Billy.    
 
June 2
   Coral got the chicken pox.    
 
June 3
   We had an early birthday part at our house for Katie who was 5 years old.   
 
June 5
   Zack’s 5th grade patrol left for 6 days to Washington D.C.   
 
June 6
   Wendall & Jean came up to go to the Feaster reunion with us.    
 
Jun 7
   Brenda & tom leave Kansas and arrive here.
 
Jun 9. 
   They go to Jax to sell his mother’s house and household goods and we take Kristopher, Jeremy and Andrew camping at Manatee Springs from Thurs. through Sunday, David came over for 2 days.   
 
June 16
   We all had a cook out at Gary & Dianne’s.    
 
June 17
   Wwe canned tomatoes from our garden all day. 
 
June 21
   Brenda & Tom & boys left to go home.  
 
June 23 – July 8
   6 weeks & 4 days we went camping.  We spent the first 12 night at Ga. Mt. Campground in Hiawassee, Georgia.  At church Sunday we met Joyce and Wendell Skipper, my old high school friend from Weirsdale who were camping about 30 miles from us.  We spent the rest of the Sunday together and all day another day.  Another day we spent with Eleanor and Gene Hamilton old friends from Westside B. Church.    We went to NC and camped up the Blue Ridge Parkway to Skyline Drive to Reston, Virginia where we say Larry and Julie for a few days.  On the way home we camped at Stone Mt. Georgia and saw my old school friends from Murphy High School in Atlanta, Shirley Hogan Price and Fay McMichen Russell (and their husbands.)  Had a great time.    We sent 2,470 miles and spent $1,350.  
 
August 14
   Aunt Amber Lee Anderson died and we went to her funeral in Jacksonville.    Aug. 15 Coral and Katie spent the night with us.  They love it.    Aug. 17 our SS class met and had supper at Quinces.    Aug. 19 Wendall & Jen stop by to spend the night.    Aug. 25 Morris & I sent to Melbourne to bring mom home.
 
Sept 5
    Our family reunion at Gary & Dianne’s house.  Mom’s 81st birthday and Coral’s 7th on Sept. 8.    
 
Sept. 6
   SS part at the Kiggins house.    
 
Sept. 24
   Brought our new car, a Chevrolet Caprice.  Nice.   
 
Sept. 28
   Go to Carl & Judy’s house to play cards & desert.  Betty & Billy went too. 
 
Sept. 9-13
   B&B, Morris & I went to Kentucky to see the Gators play.  Went in Billy’s car.   
 
Oct 5
    Fred, Helen, and Aunt Betty came up for the afternoon to see mom but she didn’t feel good so they didn’t say long.  
 
Oct. 15
   Went camping at Cedar Key for the fall Seafood Festival.     
 
Oct. 25
Jennifer started work taking care of mom at her house.    
 
Oct. 26
   Had a fish fry at Chris and Henry’s.  Grandma Mixson’s 92nd birthday.  She is doing great.    
 
Oct. 28
   Had a SS party at Doug and Louise’s home in Jacksonville.    
 
Oct. 30
    Evelyn, John Betty, Billy Morris & I went to Jax for the Fla. Ga. Game.  Went in our motor home.  Rained so hard, John, Evelyn and I stayed in the camper and watch the game on TV.    
 
Oct. 31
   Went to Lakeland with Betty and Billy to take a suite case full of gifts to some people who were flying to Brazil so they could take it along to give to Janice & Victor.
 
Nov. 9
   Senior Citizens had a covered dish supper at the church.    
 
Nov. 10
   Called Brenda on her 42nd birthday.    
 
Nov. 12
   Betty, Billy, Morris & I left for Columbia, S.C. to see the Gators play.  Got home Monday, the 15th. Wen in our new car.    
 
Nov. 24
   I went to school to watch Katie in her Thanksgiving program.  She is in Kindergarden.  Christopher Junior is in K at Littlewood too.  
 
Nov. 25, Thanksgiving
  Mom stayed with us for 4 days.  Dixie, Kristi, Joe Frank, Jordan, Hugh Andrew, David, Beth, Mark & kids were all here for dinner.  Also grandma Mixson.    
 
Nov. 27
   We beat FSU here – 33-21!    
 
Dec. 6
   My good friend at WMU & church Lizelle Rose died unexpectedly.    
 
Dec. 7
   Senior adults Christmas program & luncheon at church.    
 
Dec. 8
   We put up our Christmas tree and Zack spent the night with us.    
 
Dec. 14
   Our SS class Christmas party.    
 
Dec. 16
    Katie spent the night with us.    
 
Dec. 17
   I went to the Physics Dept Christmas party.    
 
Dec. 18
   I had David & Beth & the kids up for dinner and we went to High Springs to “A Walk Though Bethlehem” put on by the Fellowship Baptist Church.  Mark stayed home with his mother.    
 
Dec. 22
   Larry’s 41st birthday, we call him.    
 
Dec. 25
   Christmas dinner at 5 o’clock at Gary & Diannes.  Corky & Connie went to  Virginia to be with her folks.  Connie’s brother died Dec. 22 from a long illness of cancer.    
 
Dec. 31    Our annual New Years Eve party at Libby and Ernie’s.
