Oct., 1863, and the Probate Court ordered his property sold and the heirs paid off in Confederate money. . Confederate Service records show David J. Mixon, Seventh Confederate Cavalry (Claiborne's Regiment. Partisan Rangers; 7th Regiment, Confederate Partisan Rangers) Named in the proceedings is the widow and her four children, all under age 14.
